Recipe
Four ingredient Pizza Mac
- 1/2 lb. Salad Macaroni Pasta (any pasta will do, honestly)
- 1 can Tomato Paste - Italian Seasoning if you can find it.
- 1 package (16oz.) of Jimmy Dean Regular Pork Sausage Roll (used for breakfast)
- Pizza Blend cheese (your preferred shredded cheese will work just fine)
Makes about 4 adult servings.
- Bring water to a boil for pasta on high heat. Add pasta and bring back to a boil. Reduce to medium heat and cook time wise according to your pasta type.
- While pasta is boiling, brown sausage in medium pan. Once cooked through, do not drain (you can if you want, but I usually don't).
- Add tomato paste and 1 1/4 cup of water to sausage pan. Mix until paste is incorporated. Once it's all blended together, you can taste test your meat sauce mixture and add any preferred seasoning. I usually add a little garlic salt, pepper, basil and oregano. The Italian Seasoning blend of tomato paste is usually pretty good on its own.
- Drain pasta and add to sausage pan. Mix well.
- Add in your cheese. You can add as much or as little as you'd like on this part, too. Remove from heat and serve.
Enjoy!
Set some aside for your little so it can cool off while you put things away. I always leave out two or three small portioned containers of pizza mac in the fridge to grab as lunch or dinners for baby in a pinch over the next 3 days.
